“Synthetic oxytocin is sold as proprietary medication under the trade names Pitocin and Syntocinon, and as generic oxytocin. Oxytocin is destroyed in the gastrointestinal tract, so must be administered by injection or as nasal spray. It has a half-life of typically about three minutes in the blood, and given intravenously does not enter the brain in significant quantities – it is excluded from the brain by the blood–brain barrier. Evidence in rhesus macaques indicates oxytocin by nasal spray does enter the brain.[61] Oxytocin nasal sprays have been used to stimulate breastfeeding, but the efficacy of this approach is doubtful.[62]
Injected oxytocin analogues are used for labor induction and to support labor in case of difficult parturition. It has largely replaced ergometrine as the principal agent to increase uterine tone in acute postpartum hemorrhage. Oxytocin is also used in veterinary medicine to facilitate birth and to stimulate milk release. The tocolytic agent atosiban (Tractocile) acts as an antagonist of oxytocin receptors; this drug is registered in many countries to suppress premature labor between 24 and 33 weeks of gestation. It has fewer side effects than drugs previously used for this purpose (ritodrine, salbutamol, and terbutaline).
The trust-inducing property of oxytocin might help those who suffer from social anxieties and mood disorders,[45] but with the potential for abuse with confidence tricks[63][64] and military applications.[65]”

In January 2004, Major League Baseball announced a new drug policy which originally included random, offseason testing and 10-day suspensions for first-time offenders, 30-days for second-time offenders, 60-days for third-time offenders, and one year for fourth-time offenders, all without pay, in an effort to curtail performance-enhancing drug use (PED) in professional baseball. This policy strengthened baseball's pre-existing ban on controlled substances , including steroids, which has been in effect since 1991. [1] The policy was to be reviewed in 2008, but under pressure from the . Congress , on November 15, 2005, players and owners agreed to tougher penalties; a 50-game suspension for a first offense, a 100-game suspension for a second, and a lifetime ban for a third.

I meditate, or maybe more to the point just lie still and be quiet on the inside.
I just let my mind run of and do its thing, and try and find the point of inner stillness.
Sometimes when there is lots of agitation or emotional upset, or even excitement,
that stillness is harder to find. For me I just have to take longer to let things settle.
And sometimes there is painful or difficult emotional/mental stuff surfacing, and at these points, I find myself wanting to leap up and go and do the dishes or something.
But I have learnt over time, that it is at these points that I need to continue to lie there and sit through the uncomfortableness and allow it to arise, and pass over.
Usually with allowing and acceptance, comes release and insight.
Or just a feeling of peace that the uncomfortable energy has passed over;
sometimes the insight or understanding comes later,
over the dishes..lol

Hi I’m 25 I have had lip eczema since 12 years old and face eczema since 20 years old. My Lip eczema being moderate and face eczema mild. However this year my face eczema began to flare up. I live in Miami which everyone should know very hot and humid. I should be very oily all year round but I’m just dry, generally in my t-zone. I smoked cigarettes from 16 years old to about 22 years old never thinking anything of it until this year when I experienced a bit of dermatitis and eventually scaling, redness, and itchy eczema. I cannot even wear makeup because it ends up flaking and falling off. For my lip eczema I was given from my dermatologist desonide for the swelling and also a lip balm from Dr. Dan corti balm, which has been like the smallest bit of heaven. Granted the scaling on my lips had not gone away they are always peeling although this has been the best relief I have received thus far. For my face eczema I have been using elidel for about 4 days now twice daily. What I like about this cream is that it’s not a steroid therefore it will not thin out my skin as it is already very thin and flakey. I also use the cetaphil moisturizer in combination with their facial wash when I’m very dry. As for my diet I have always eaten processed foods, spicy foods, and anything that was junk food. About 3 months ago I started dieting and eating fruits, veggies, and salads to reduce any allergic reactions or flare ups. I’m going to post back in a few days to advise everyone of my progress with elidel. God bless you guys!
